Privacy Policy

We are based in the United States of America and primarily serve users in the United States, while also welcoming a global audience. By using the Services, you understand that your information will be processed as described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account & profile: name, username, email, password, avatar, bio, and persona/role.
• Content: videos, courses, posts, comments, images, and other materials you upload or create, plus associated metadata.
• Payments & payouts: billing details, transaction history, and, for creators, identity-verification (KYC) and tax information. Card details are handled by our payment processors, not stored by us.
• Communications: messages, support requests, and survey or feedback responses.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages and videos viewed, watch time, clicks, search queries, and feature interactions.
• Device & log data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, identifiers, referring URLs, and timestamps.
• Cookies & similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, and measure performance. See Section 6.

Information from third parties

• Sign-in providers (such as Google) when you choose to connect them, limited to what you authorize.
• Payment processors, analytics, and fraud-prevention partners.
• Publicly available or social sources you choose to connect (for example, social feeds you configure).

2. How we use information

• provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services, including video processing and playback;
• create and manage your account and authenticate you;
• process payments, payouts, subscriptions, and affiliate commissions, and prevent fraud;
• personalize content, recommendations, and feeds;
• power AI-assisted features you choose to use;
• communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support;
• send marketing where permitted (you can opt out at any time);
• analyze and improve the Services and develop new features; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), we rely on legal bases including your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.

3. AI features & your content

When you use AI-assisted features, the content you submit may be processed by us and by third-party AI providers solely to generate the requested output and operate the feature. We do not sell this content. Do not submit information through AI features that you are not authorized to share.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers / processors who perform services for us — for example, cloud hosting and object storage, payment processing (e.g., Stripe), email delivery (e.g., Resend), AI processing, analytics, and customer support — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
• Publicly, at your direction — content and profile details you choose to publish are visible to others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
• Legal & safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Tapreelz, our users, and the public.

Some sharing for analytics or advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain US state laws; see Section 8 for how to opt out.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, such as resolving disputes, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, and enforcing agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Backups may persist for a limited period.

6. Cookies & tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate and secure the Services, and optional functional/analytics cookies to improve them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and signed, time-limited URLs for private media. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your US privacy rights (California & other states)

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others), you may have the right to:

• know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your information;
• obtain a portable copy of your information;
• opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising; and
• not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@tapreelz.com or use the controls in your account settings. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. California's "Shine the Light" law: you may request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing — we do not make such disclosures.

9. Rights for the EEA, UK & other regions

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a region with similar laws, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. 10. International data transfers

We process and store information in the United States and other countries that may have data protection laws different from your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact privacy@tapreelz.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Where local law sets a higher age of digital consent, we apply that age.

12. Third-party sites & services

The Services may link to or integrate third-party sites and services with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those practices; review their policies before providing information.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
